  • Founder

I am a Black, queer, and non-binary liberation seeker, freedom dreamer, and advocate for spaciousness and ease. I work and am raising a child on unceded Ohlone land, in Oakland, Ca. My work is deeply rooted in interdependence and care as Black Feminist practices for collective liberation and community building.

I use storytelling to explore questions about belonging, and relationships to place and space. I design and build through the legacies of Disability Justice, Reproductive Justice, and Black liberation.

My previous work has been in the areas of Affirmative Action in recruitment and retention, DEI strategic planning, technology equity, creating inclusive work/learning environments, developing queer affirming workplaces, intergroup dialogue, organizational change and leadership, strategic planning, and teaching Dis/ability Studies courses.

  • Facilitator

I am a white queer organizer, mental health worker, and facilitator working on capacity building related to racial justice, queer justice, and navigating conflict. My focus is to support white folks in transforming the ways they engage with race, building communities of trust and care, and developing somatic awareness to act more in alignment with anti-racist values.

Through my time working with nonprofits and institutions, they have supported the implementation of DEI policies, practices, discussion spaces, and working groups to support organizations in centering anti-oppression based practices.

I have developed and led training sessions for teachers, parents, and school communities on fostering community with attention to power dynamics, healing justice, intersectionality, and creating affirming spaces for queer and trans youth.

Principles We Hold and Embody

  • We belong to each other. Center people and relationships, honor interconnectedness, and interdependence.

  • Somatics is a tool of both individual insight and collective/shared liberation.

  • We build intentionally and move at the speed of trust. (adapted from Emergent Strategy Principles)

  • Resist the urge to punish (self and others).

  • There are no quick fixes and these times are urgent; let us slow down. (adapted from Dr. Bayo Akomolafe)

  • Transformation starts within. Small is good, small is all. (adapted from Emergent Strategy Principles)
